This is the third CP UPS that I have bought, and the largest. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that I don’t know how long it will last. The first one I got is a combo surge protector and UPS. The UPS function lasted about 3 years or so. I have mixed emotions about that. I don’t know if this is good or bad, but I would have been happier if it had lasted much longer. The latest one I got has a lot more bells and whistles on it (and cost more). Time will tell if I like it.
With out a doubt, this unit will pay for itself.
I have several different CyberPower units and I’ve been very happy with them so far. They are every bit as good as APC (which seems to be considered the standard when it comes to UPS) but at a lower cost. Some models actually offer more features than a comparable APC unit. Other reviews here do a good job reviewing this unit in detail, so I won’t repeat what’s already been said. One thing I do want to add though that I haven’t seen mentioned yet, and to me it’s the only downside of this unit, is that the RJ45 pass-through port is not a Gigabit port. My entire network is a Gbit network, and using the CyberPower’s RJ45 protection would cap my transfers at 100Mbps. But to be honest, I don’t know of any UPS in this price range to support Gbit pass-through (not yet anyways), so it’s not just CyberPower. You have to keep track of the charging time. Does not turn off automatically. Takes a LONG time to charge. Piece of c**p!
Great product, I have been using it to recharge Alkaline 9V batteries (not recommended by manufacturer), and it has worked great. However, you need to be careful as this charger doesn’t have overvoltage protection, so if you leave the alkalines in for too long (24 hours), they will overcharge to 11+ Volts. Sometimes the alkalines will bulge when overcharged. If you want to charge “rechargeable” batteries, there are some guidelines on the back of the packaging about charging times (for NiCd & NiMH):

100-120mAh 8-10 hours
150-180mAh 12-14 hours
200-230mAh 18-20 hours
